چکیده

The distributed and stochastic nature of Renewable Power Sources is certainly forming considerable challenges for the operation power system. Specifically, stability system can be jeopardized when penetration inverter-based systems high. Storage proper design controllers seen as part solution supporting future expansion systems. Thus, control strategies need to designed provide appropriate support capable keeping variation frequency within limits keep reliability high possible. main challenge parameterization these their coordination under integrated grid approach in securing at all times. In this paper, a smart energy controller utilized incorporated into projection case study Cyprus’ real distribution year 2050 evaluate its behavior identify possible weaknesses usage. It was found that not only architecture such crucial coping with problem. From simulation work recorded results, it observed maintain desirable range parametrization chosen appropriately. This specific observation highlights configure while operating field, possibly further research required advanced capability adjust dynamically during field operation, thereby achieving better response abnormal conditions.

HVDC-based Fast Frequency Support for Low Inertia Power Systems

This paper analyses and compares different methodologies for supporting system frequency in low inertia power systems using HVDC interconnectors. Reduced system inertia, caused by the massive integration of converter-interfaced renewables and the displacement of conventional synchronous generation, can result in high values of rate of change of frequency (ROCOF), increasing the risk of frequenc...

Low Frequency Active Tuned Oscillator Using Simulated Inductor

The generation of sine wave at low frequency is very tedious because the size of the inductors used in the circuit is very large and bulky. Hence the inductor is replaced with the simulated inductor. This study deals with the generation of sine wave from an active tuned oscillator which consists of the simulated inductor and capacitor. The oscillator makes use of the basic blocks of a band pass...

Active vibration control of smart building frames by feedback controllers

In this paper the active vibration control of a four-story shear frame instrumented with piezoelectric actuators is presented. The piezoelectric actuators are hosted on the columns in two manners and the produced controlling forces by actuators are considered in the equation of motion. The smart structure modeling and control design is carried out using MATLAB software in state space form. Subs...
